Preview your ordering page

Walk your ordering page exactly as a diner sees it, without placing a real order.

Preview lets you scan, browse, add to cart and reach the payment step just like a diner, but in a safe mode that never charges a card or creates an order. It is the best way to do a dry run before you open.

Who can do this

This needs the Manage Venue Theme permission. Venue owners have it automatically.

Steps​

  1. Go to Settings -> Theme.
  2. Click Preview.
  3. Choose how to view it:
    • Open in new window to walk the flow right here.
    • Show QR code to scan it on your phone and try it on a real handset.
  4. Browse the menu, add a few items, and go through to the payment step.

How to know it worked​

You can move through the whole flow, and the payment step makes clear it is a preview. No order shows up in Service -> Orders, and no card is charged.

Why nothing gets charged

Preview runs on a one-time, no-charge session. It is built to be safe to share and safe to test with, so you can hand the QR to a colleague without any risk of a real order.
