Add a photo to a menu item
Add a photo so diners can see the dish before they order it.
A good photo sells the dish. You can upload one from your computer, or send one straight from your phone.
This needs the Manage Item Images permission. Venue owners have it automatically.
Upload from your computer
- Go to Menu -> Menu Editor and open the item.
- Open the Image tab.
- Click Choose Image and pick your photo.
- Click Save Changes.
Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 25 MB. Tapimo crops to a square.
Take the photo with your phone
On the Image tab, click Upload from phone. Scan the QR code with your phone, take or choose the photo, and it attaches to the item. Click Save Changes to keep it.
Polish a photo with AI
Once an item has a saved photo, an Enhance with AI button appears on the Image tab. It improves the lighting, colour and sharpness without changing the dish itself. Review the result and click Save enhanced to keep it, or Try again. Enhancing uses AI credits.
How to know it worked
The photo shows on the item's card in the Menu Editor and on the diner menu.
Troubleshooting
Replace or remove a photo Open the item's Image tab, then use the replace or remove control on the current image and save.
