Set an item out of stock or on a schedule

Mark an item out of stock when you run out, or limit it to certain hours and days.

Everything to do with when an item can be ordered lives on the item's Availability tab.

Who can do this

This needs the Manage Item Availability permission. Venue owners have it automatically.

Mark an item out of stock

  1. Go to Menu -> Menu Editor and open the item.
  2. Open the Availability tab.
  3. Set Stock Status to Out of Stock.
  4. Click Save Changes.

The item stays on the menu but cannot be ordered. Switch it back to In Stock when you have it again. Choose Hidden to take it off the menu entirely.

Limit an item to certain hours (a service window)

On the Availability tab, set Available From and Available Until in 24-hour time (for example, 06:00 to 11:00 for a breakfast item). Leave them blank to make the item available at any time.

Service windows use your venue's timezone, not the diner's phone clock, so they always fire at the right local time.

Limit an item to certain days

Turn off Every day, then tick the weekdays the item is available (for example, Fri, Sat, Sun). Save.

How to know it worked

On the diner menu, an out-of-stock item shows as unavailable, and a scheduled item only appears inside its window and on its chosen days.

Troubleshooting

Make an item always available again Clear the Available From and Available Until fields and turn Every day back on, then save.
