Turn on card payments

Set up card payments so diners can pay for their orders in the app.

Tapimo takes payments through Stripe. You connect your venue to Stripe once, add your business and bank details, and from then on order payments land in your account. Your venue cannot take any orders until this is done.

Who can do this

This is a job for the venue owner. You will need your business details and a bank account for payouts.

Steps​

  1. Go to Settings -> Subscription.
  2. Scroll to the Stripe Connect section.
  3. Click Start Payment Setup. This opens Stripe in a new step.
  4. Follow Stripe's prompts: enter your business details and the bank account where you want payouts to land.
  5. When Stripe is finished, you are returned to Tapimo.

How to know it worked​

The Stripe Connect section shows Payment setup is complete and an Open Stripe Dashboard button appears. Your venue can now take orders.

Did not finish in one go?

Stripe's form has several steps and you can stop partway through. If you did, your status shows "Payment setup is incomplete". Pick up where you left off with Finish your Stripe payment onboarding.

Troubleshooting​

I finished Stripe but the status has not updated Click Refresh Status in the Stripe Connect section to pull your latest state from Stripe.
