Route menu items to a station

Send each item's docket to the right station, like drinks to the Bar.

Once your stations (printer groups) exist, you tell Tapimo which station each menu item prints at. Anything you do not route falls through to your default station.

Who can do this

This needs the Manage Menu Items permission, and your plan must include docket printing. Set up your stations first. See Create a printer group.

Steps​

  1. Go to Menu -> Menu Editor and open an item.
  2. On the Basic tab, find the Printer group field.
  3. Pick the station (for example, set drinks to Bar). Leave it on Default group for anything that should go to your default station, such as food to the Kitchen.
  4. Click Save Changes.

You only need to change the items that should go somewhere other than the default.

How to know it worked​

When an order with that item comes in, its docket prints at the station you chose.

Troubleshooting​

An item printed at the wrong station Open the item in the Menu Editor and check its Printer group. Unassigned items go to the default group.

A combo printed oddly Combos route by their individual items, not the bundle. Each component prints at its own item's station.
