Understand proactive alerts
The alerts bell flags things that look off, so you can act before they cost you.
Tapimo watches your venue and raises an alert when something looks unusual. They appear on the bell in the top bar of your dashboard.
Proactive alerts are part of higher plans. If there is no bell in your top bar, your plan does not include them yet.
See your alerts
- Look at the bell in the top bar. A number on it is how many active alerts you have; it turns red when one is urgent.
- Click the bell to open the list. Each alert shows how serious it is, what it is about, a short headline with the numbers, and a suggested next step.
What the alerts mean
- Revenue dip: takings are well below your recent average.
- Refund spike: an unusual number of refunds in the last day.
- Item refund cluster: lots of refunds for one menu item (often a supply or quality issue).
- Cancel rate jump: orders are being cancelled more than usual.
- POS push failures: orders are repeatedly failing to reach your POS.
Clear an alert
Once you have looked into one, click Acknowledge on it. It drops off your active list.
Get urgent alerts by email
Only urgent alerts are emailed; warnings and info stay on the bell. To choose whether you receive these emails, use the Email Preferences link at the bottom of any Tapimo alert email and toggle Anomaly Alerts (on by default).
Troubleshooting
A brand-new venue has no alerts Tapimo waits a couple of weeks before raising alerts for a new venue, so it has enough normal trading to compare against. Until then the bell shows "No active alerts".
